Richard "Mick" McGuire

Mick McGuire is the Founder of Eastview Management, a private investment office. Eastview reflects Mick’s long-standing approach to capital allocation: independence, selectivity, concentration, and patience.

Previously, Mick founded and served as Managing Partner of Marcato Capital Management, an investment firm focused on value, event-driven, and activist opportunities across all industries. Under his leadership, Marcato was recognized in 2013 by Institutional Investor as Emerging Hedge Fund Manager of the Year and by Absolute Return for U.S. Equity Fund of the Year.

Prior to founding Marcato in 2010, Mick was a Partner at Pershing Square Capital Management, where he focused on investments in the consumer, retail, financial services, and business services sectors.

Mick holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.A. in Economics from Princeton University. He has also served on the board of Tipping Point Community, a leading Bay Area nonprofit dedicated to fighting poverty.
